Languages of Light
These images were inspired by my research in observing and revealing form through the use of light. Using a single light source, I attempted to exhibit abstract shapes of the human form in its sculpture-like beauty through intense observation.
I took inspiration from the work of Irving Penn, Imogen Cunningham and, most importantly, Robert Mapplethorpe.
Thank you to my beautiful wife, Rafaelle Queiroz, for her assistance and being my model for this.
